Foo Fighters Afterlife : Band carry on after Taylor Hawkins but as a 'different' band.

According to a source close to the band, the Foo Fighters will continue to make music and tour but as a 'different' band.

“(We) were formed 27 years ago to represent the healing power of music and a continuation of life,” the band wrote, adding that fans had built “a worldwide community, a devoted support system that has helped us all get through the darkest of times together.”

Taylor Hawkins died tragically earlier this year in Columbia while the Foo Fighters were on tour.

“His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever.”

“He’ll be there in spirit with all of us every night,” they added.

Paul McCartney, Liam Gallagher, Brian May and band members joined by thousands of fans held a tribute to Taylor Hawkins in September is Glasglow, UK. in which Taylor's son performed 'My Hero" on drums. A similar event was held in Los Angeles.
