The Biden administration is reversing a 1954 decision that revoked J. Robert Oppenheimer, known as the father of the atomic bomb, of his security clearance and ultimately ended his career as a physicist.

The famed physicist became one of the world's leading researchers in theoretical physics — and became an integral figure in the creation of the atomic bomb during World War II — but later arose suspicion due to his association with progressive causes and opposition to developing the hydrogen bomb.

During the height of anti-communist hysteria in the 1950s, the Atomic Energy Commission, which preceded the Department of Energy, launched an investigation that stripped Oppenheimer of his security clearance. The 1954 decision irreversibly damaged his career.

But now the Department of Energy is revoking its previous decision — calling the investigation a "flawed process that violated the Commission's own regulations," Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm said in a press release on Friday.

"As time has passed, more evidence has come to light of the bias and unfairness of the process that Dr. Oppenheimer was subjected to while the evidence of his loyalty and love of country have only been further affirmed," Granholm said.

The decision comes after decades of lobbying from the scientific community to clear Oppenheimer's reputation.

"History matters and what was done to Oppenheimer in 1954 was a travesty, a black mark on the honor of the nation," Kai Bird, co-author of the Oppenheimer biography American Prometheus, told The New York Times. "Students of American history will now be able to read the last chapter and see that what was done to Oppenheimer in that kangaroo court proceeding was not the last word."

Granholm said the Department of Energy is also reversing the decision because of a "responsibility to correct the historical record and honor Dr. Oppenheimer's profound contributions to our national defense and the scientific enterprise at large."

Oppenheimer died in 1967. A new film about the famed physicist, titled Oppenheimer, is scheduled to hit screens in July.

Wife of Prince of Darkness has medical emergency

Sharon Osbourne  Medical Emergency

Sharon Osbourne was rushed to the hospital Friday after suffering a medical emergency in California, The Post can confirm.

Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar told The Post the incident happened Friday night while the 70-year-old television personality was shooting a paranormal show at the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula.

A rep for the Ventura County Fire Department disclosed that one fire engine and one ambulance responded to a “medical call” around 6:30 p.m. Pacific time, transporting one person from the Inn to Santa Paula Hospital.

A source familiar with the matter told The Post the incident was “non-life threatening.” A hospital spokesperson referred questions to Osbourne reps who did not immediately respond to a Post request for comment.

A Glen Tavern manager confirmed to TMZ there was an “emergency,” but declined to share more information.

Osbourne was posting to social media as recently as Friday, sharing on Instagram her love for dogs.

Osbourne was spotted in Los Angeles two weeks ago with her son, Jack; his fiancée, Aree Gearhart; and their daughter, Maple. The pics came after Osbourne revealed she had a facelift last year that left her with a “horrendous” outcome.

“It hurt like hell. You have no idea,” she added of the cosmetic surgery, which she claimed to the Sunday Times took five-and-a-half hours.

Osbourne has had past medical scares. She began undergoing a series of chemotherapy treatments for colon cancer in 2002. Those treatments were incorporated into the second season of MTV’s reality show “The Osbournes” — and she was later deemed to be cancer-free.

In November 2012, she revealed she underwent a double mastectomy after learning she had a gene that increases the risk of developing breast cancer — and one of her breast implants was in bad shape.

“One of them had burst, and all of it had gone into the wall of my stomach,” Osbourne said on CBS’ “The Talk” in 2012, per People. “And one breast was different than the other.”

“I wasn’t diagnosed with cancer, but I had the gene and one of my breasts was in a really bad state because of the implant,” she said, adding, “never have [implants] by the way.”

Osbourne disclosed in May 2022 that she contracted COVID-19 one week after her husband, rock star Ozzy Osbourne. She shared a picture of herself receiving an IV in bed and flashing the peace sign, writing on Twitter, “F–k Covid.”

What do you think? Post a comment.

Osbourne is no stranger to controversy and battles. The outspoken Brit left “The Talk” in March 2021 after defending Piers Morgan’s scathing criticism of Oprah Winfrey’s interview of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

As the longtime manager of Ozzy, she’s been known to feud with other bands and even cut Iron Maiden’s electricity when they played too long at Ozzfest. On “The Osbournes,” she once chucked a frozen ham at the home of her annoying Beverly Hills neighbors.

Sharon and Ozzy share three children: Aimee, 39, Kelly, 38, and Jack, 37. Sharon has been taking care of the “Crazy Train” rocker, who is suffering from Parkinson’s disease and other health issues

On Marilyn .............

Unless you have been living under a rock these past few weeks, chances are you have heard about the controversy surrounding the latest biopic on Marilyn Monroe being streamed at #1 on Netflix. Not to be confused with a documentary that has also recently come out on streaming services called , "The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe".

This full feature movie released directly from streaming service Netflix has many fans up in arms about some of the content and how one of Americas Icons, is portrayed so heavily "blonde" stereotypically or about the references to her abortions and miscarriages that were kept secret from public eye.

Now, foremost I am not here to get into politics or comment on any recent legislation, but I do believe the reviews are quite wrong. There is a reason it has climbed really quickly to the most watched Netflix spot at #1 . It is good ! And not saying that lightly it is really really good. From the cinematography, to the lighting effects, the transitions from black/white to color, the music score, the acting, everything is good about this movie. And I am really glad I actually watched it instead of listening to the bullshit reviews of it.

Now aside from all of that the reviews are things like , " I couldn't make it through 15 minutes of it because how badly they portrayed her" ,. and etc. . Well spoiler alert... , if they had actually watched the movie the first 15 minutes of the movie is about her as child and how badly her mother treated her, her mothers psychotic episodes, and ultimately her being turned over to an orphanage. There is very little in that for anyone form a bad opinion about Marilyn as those scenes were primarily about her mother not Norma Jean , which was her real name at the time. So if you watch the movie you already know those views were BS.

The other complaints seem to be about the scenes which appear to have an almost fully formed fetus talking to her in a dream as some sort of anti-abortion dialogue. However , the fact her abortion was very late term and others were actually more a miscarriage so this could be historically correct. I know because I viewed the ultrasounds of both my children and they appeared to be almost fully formed at very early stages as do most healthy fetuses so I do see this as more as artistic expression rather than some political stunt against abortion.

In fact the writer expresses his views as such , :" "It's just people looking at the film through the lens of their own particular prejudices or whatever agenda that they want to advance," he told USA TODAY. "I don't think it has anything to say about Roe v. Wade. That's just a happenstance. If the film would have come out in 2008, no one would be talking about that. And if were to come out in 10 years (from now), no one is going to care about it either. People are reacting to this idea that freedoms are being taken away."

There's no evidence that Monroe ever had an abortion, let alone multiple or forced abortions, says historian Michelle Vogel, author of "Marilyn Monroe: Her Films, Her Life."

"Any talk of pregnancy termination is an assumption on our part," Vogel says. "Marilyn loved children and she was desperate to be a mother. Sadly, she never carried a baby to term."

"Her miscarriages are incredibly well-documented," Dominik says. According to Vogel, Monroe was pregnant three times during her marriage to Miller: She miscarried in 1956, lost an ectopic pregnancy in 1957, then miscarried again in 1958.

"Her fertility issues have long been attributed to endometriosis," a gynecological condition that causes severe menstrual pain, Vogel says. "It was largely misunderstood during those times, so it often went untreated. Monroe's well-known use of pills and alcohol was likely self-medication to deal with this medical condition, as well as countless other aspects of her complicated life. She blamed herself for her last miscarriage, which happened shortly after filming 'Some Like It Hot.' Her blossoming baby belly is clearly visible as the film progresses."

So in that respect I do not believe the writers are taking artistic liberty to discuss political talking points as many are pointing out, but it is historical fact that she had these ideations and the artist is merely translating this into this movie,

All this being said, Definitely see this movie ! Don't listen to the critics or hacks. Don't listen to me  either ,. see for yourself. Preferably with your favorite glass of wine or preferable inebriation . Check it out on Netflix . Borrow your friends account if you have to . Trust me on this one . It is worth seeing.
