According to a source close to the band, the Foo Fighters will continue to make music and tour but as a 'different' band.
“(We) were formed 27 years ago to represent the healing power of music and a continuation of life,” the band wrote, adding that fans had built “a worldwide community, a devoted support system that has helped us all get through the darkest of times together.”

“His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever.”
“He’ll be there in spirit with all of us every night,” they added.
Paul McCartney, Liam Gallagher, Brian May and band members joined by thousands of fans held a tribute to Taylor Hawkins in September is Glasglow, UK. in which Taylor's son performed 'My Hero" on drums. A similar event was held in Los Angeles.
Courtney Love recently claims she lost a role in Fight Club alongside Brad Pitt because she refused to allow him to be cast as Kurt Cobain
Courtney Love says she was almost in Fight Club.
In fact, the rocker said on Monday's episode of WTF With Marc Maron that she was officially cast to play Marla — the role that ultimately went to Helena Bonham Carter — in the 1999 cult classic. Love claimed that she was fired from that movie after she "went nuclear" on Brad Pitt and director Gus Van Sant when they approached her around the same time about a project based on her late husband, Kurt Cobain. She shut the whole thing down.
Update: Sharon Osbourne Home after Medical Emergency

The Prince of Darkness' Wife has returned home after being hospitalized on Friday due to a medical emergency.
Jack, her son, shared the news that she is now out of the hospital on his Instagram story Saturday, in a message that expressed appreciation for others’ sentiments of “love and support” for his mom.
“She has been given the all clear from her medical team and is now home,” Jack wrote. “As to what happened to my mum – I’m gonna leave it to her to share about when she is ready.”
She experienced the medical event while filming the family’s Travel channel series The Osbournes: Night of Terror, according to Jack.
She was rushed to the hospital Friday after suffering a medical emergency in California, The Post can confirm.
Santa Paula Police Chief Don Aguilar told The Post the incident happened Friday night while the 70-year-old television personality was shooting a paranormal show at the Glen Tavern Inn in Santa Paula.
A rep for the Ventura County Fire Department disclosed that one fire engine and one ambulance responded to a “medical call” around 6:30 p.m. Pacific time, transporting one person from the Inn to Santa Paula Hospital.
A source familiar with the matter told The Post the incident was “non-life threatening.” A hospital spokesperson referred questions to Osbourne reps who did not immediately respond to a Post request for comment.

A Glen Tavern manager confirmed to TMZ there was an “emergency,” but declined to share more information.
Osbourne was posting to social media as recently as Friday, sharing on Instagram her love for dogs.
Osbourne was spotted in Los Angeles two weeks ago with her son, Jack; his fiancée, Aree Gearhart; and their daughter, Maple. The pics came after Osbourne revealed she had a facelift last year that left her with a “horrendous” outcome.
“It hurt like hell. You have no idea,” she added of the cosmetic surgery, which she claimed to the Sunday Times took five-and-a-half hours.
Osbourne has had past medical scares. She began undergoing a series of chemotherapy treatments for colon cancer in 2002. Those treatments were incorporated into the second season of MTV’s reality show “The Osbournes” — and she was later deemed to be cancer-free.

In November 2012, she revealed she underwent a double mastectomy after learning she had a gene that increases the risk of developing breast cancer — and one of her breast implants was in bad shape.
“One of them had burst, and all of it had gone into the wall of my stomach,” Osbourne said on CBS’ “The Talk” in 2012, per People. “And one breast was different than the other.”
“I wasn’t diagnosed with cancer, but I had the gene and one of my breasts was in a really bad state because of the implant,” she said, adding, “never have [implants] by the way.”
Osbourne disclosed in May 2022 that she contracted COVID-19 one week after her husband, rock star Ozzy Osbourne. She shared a picture of herself receiving an IV in bed and flashing the peace sign, writing on Twitter, “F–k Covid.”
As the longtime manager of Ozzy, she’s been known to feud with other bands and even cut Iron Maiden’s electricity when they played too long at Ozzfest. On “The Osbournes,” she once chucked a frozen ham at the home of her annoying Beverly Hills neighbors.
Sharon and Ozzy share three children: Aimee, 39, Kelly, 38, and Jack, 37. Sharon has been taking care of the “Crazy Train” rocker, who is suffering from Parkinson’s disease and other health issues
