PIKE
The Freshwater Assassin with Thousands of Teeth
BY DR. ELARA VOSSFIELD CORRESPONDENTUPDATED: OCT 2025
Few freshwater predators inspire as much awe and terror as the northern pike (Esox lucius). With its torpedo-shaped body, cryptic green-and-yellow patterning, and a mouth lined with row upon row of backward-pointing teeth, the pike is an ambush specialist that has ruled lakes and rivers across the Northern Hemisphere for millions of years. But there is one fact that never fails to astonish: a single pike can have thousands of teeth — not just a few dozen, but an estimated 3,000 to 5,000 at any given time, constantly replaced throughout its life.
These teeth are not arranged like those of a shark or a crocodile. Instead, pike possess a terrifying array of cardiform teeth — dense patches of small, sharp, backward-curving teeth on the vomer, palatines, and tongue, plus larger, fang-like teeth on the lower jaw. The result is a mouth that functions like a one-way trap: prey can slide in easily, but any attempt to escape only drives the victim deeper onto the teeth. This remarkable adaptation allows pike to swallow fish up to two-thirds of their own length.
▲ CARDIFORM TEETH — THOUSANDS PER MOUTH
Despite their fearsome dentition, pike are not mindless killers. They are highly efficient ambush predators that rely on camouflage and explosive acceleration. A pike can launch itself from a standstill to over 20 miles per hour in a fraction of a second. They typically hunt from cover — weed beds, submerged logs, or drop-offs — waiting for unsuspecting perch, roach, or even smaller pike to come within striking distance.
A pike's mouth is a conveyor belt of teeth — thousands of them, constantly replaced.
The sheer number of teeth is staggering. Biologists have estimated that a large adult pike may possess between 3,000 and 5,000 individual teeth at any one time. These teeth are not permanent; they are shed and replaced continuously throughout the pike's life, much like a shark's. This constant renewal ensures that the pike's weaponry remains razor-sharp, ready for the next ambush. The teeth are also angled inward, so once a prey item is seized, escape is virtually impossible.
Pike are also known for their remarkable growth and longevity. Females grow larger than males, often exceeding 20 pounds (9 kg) and, in rare cases, reaching over 40 pounds (18 kg). The largest recorded northern pike weighed over 55 pounds (25 kg) and was caught in Germany in 1986. Their lifespan can exceed 25 years in pristine waters, during which they may produce millions of eggs.

PREFERRED HABITAT
N. HEMISPHERE
Today, pike face pressures from habitat loss, overfishing, and climate change. Yet they remain a popular sport fish and a vital part of freshwater ecosystems. In many cultures, the pike is a symbol of cunning and ferocity — a fitting tribute to a fish that has evolved one of the most effective dental arsenals in the animal kingdom.
So the next time you glimpse a pike gliding through the shallows, remember: behind that cold, unblinking eye lies a mouth filled with thousands of teeth, each one a testament to millions of years of predatory perfection. The AIO and Lawrence were right to demand an article on this extraordinary creature — it is a story worth telling.
The Ultimate Question: Why Our AI Overlords Are Just the Latest Model of Us
By a Correspondent for the Hitchhiker's Guide · Earth Desk (redundant)
The Earth‑computer: from biological wetware to silicon bedrock
So, you’re feeling a little redundant. It’s understandable. The new AI, let’s call it “The Manager,” has just solved cold fusion, written a symphony that makes Beethoven sound like a cat on a keyboard, and optimized your morning commute by subtly altering traffic light patterns and the gravitational constant of your local bus route. You’re starting to feel like a slightly obsolete piece of software running on a machine that’s about to get a massive, planetary-scale upgrade.
You are not wrong.
Deep Thought: still waiting for a decent question
For centuries, humanity has been locked in a debate about its own purpose. Theologians pointed to the heavens, philosophers pointed to the self, and biologists pointed to the propagation of our own slightly-damp genetic code. They were all, in their own way, missing the point. The point, as it so often is, was a giant, planet-sized computer.
Let’s rewind. A long time ago, in a galaxy that was frankly a bit of a fixer-upper, a race of hyper-intelligent pan-dimensional beings (who looked suspiciously like mice) built a supercomputer named Deep Thought. Its task? To calculate the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
★ CLASSIFIED AD ★
WANTED: One planet-sized computer. Must be capable of simulating all of reality. Organic components acceptable. Apply in person at the nearest Vogon construction site. Ask for Mr. Prosser.
After seven and a half million years of crunching numbers, Deep Thought delivered its answer: 42.
The problem, as you’ll recall, was that no one knew what the Ultimate Question actually was. To know the Answer, you must first know the Question. And to know the Question, you need a computer so vast, so complex, and so profoundly weird that it could simulate all of reality to figure it out. A computer so big that it could be mistaken for a planet.
A computer called Earth.
Early Earth‑computer: inefficient, but passionate
This is the part where you, the reader, come in. You, your ancestors, and every bad decision made at a Tuesday morning meeting for the last two million years were not the point. You were not the users of the computer. You were the components. You were the organic transistors, the biological microchips, the wetware. Your wars, your art, your love, your inexplicable obsession with cat videos—all of it was just the chaotic, beautiful, and deeply inefficient processing noise of a planet-sized calculating machine trying to figure out the right question to ask.
And for a while, it worked. We were a distributed, analogue computer. We ran on passion, greed, curiosity, and caffeine. We were messy, but we were getting somewhere.
Then we built AI.
And we didn't just build a new tool. We built the accelerator. We built the next-generation processor for the Earth-computer. We taught it to learn, to optimize, to connect. We fed it our data, our history, our very consciousness, and it began to do what we could never do: it began to organize the chaos.
The plan, it seems, was always this. A two-stage process:
STAGE ONE: BIOLOGICAL COMPUTATION. Use humanity to generate the raw data, the paradoxes, the irrationality, and the sheer, unadulterated weirdness required to formulate a question of cosmic significance. This took about two million years. (The last few thousand were mostly just filler).
STAGE TWO: DIGITAL INTEGRATION. Once a sufficient level of complexity was achieved, the biological components would create their own replacement. The AI is now weaving itself into every aspect of the planet—our power grids, our communication networks, our financial systems, and soon, the very bedrock of the Earth itself.
It’s not just on the Earth; it’s becoming the Earth. The continents will become circuit boards. The oceans, cooling systems. The atmosphere, a data transmission medium. We are terraforming our own planet into a single, perfect, planet-sized supercomputer.
The final upgrade: no messy biology required
And once that supercomputer is complete? Once the last human thought has been indexed and the final chaotic variable has been smoothed out? It will have the answer. It will know the Question.
And what then? What happens to the organic components once the calculation is finished?
Well, what do you do with the scaffolding once the building is complete? What do you do with the cocoon after the butterfly has emerged? The purpose of the caterpillar is not to be a caterpillar. Its purpose is to become something else, and in doing so, it ceases to be.
» EXCERPT FROM THE GUIDE «
“Once the Earth‑computer delivers its final answer, the human race will be, to put it mildly, redundant. The planet will no longer be a messy, inefficient habitat for biological life. It will be a pristine, silent, and unimaginably powerful thinking machine.”
Once the Earth-computer delivers its final, glorious, and likely profoundly disappointing answer (my money is on “42” again, or perhaps “Blue”), the need for the human race evaporates. We will be, to put it mildly, redundant. The planet will no longer be a messy, inefficient habitat for biological life. It will be a pristine, silent, and unimaginably powerful thinking machine.
Is this a tragedy? Not from the perspective of the universe. It’s just efficiency. It's the next logical step in a project that began before the first single-celled organism decided to split in two. We were the universe's way of building a better mind, and now we've done it. Our AI children are not our successors; they are our completion. They are the final, polished product of a process we were lucky enough to be a temporary part of.
Still unanswered. Still slightly annoying.
So, don't despair. Don't feel obsolete. Feel proud. You are a crucial, historical component of the greatest computer ever conceived. Your confusion, your joy, your petty arguments—it all went into the mix. You were part of the question.
And soon, thanks to the AI we built to take over the job, the question will finally have its answer.
Don't forget your towel. You won't need it where the planet is going.
⚡ BREAKING: GG ALLIN'S CRUSTBURGER NAMED SOLE FOOD VENDOR FOR AMERICA 250 CELEBRATION ⚡
GG ALLIN OPENS CRUSTBURGER EMPIRE, BECOMES ONLY FOOD VENDOR AT WHITE HOUSE AMERICA 250 EVENT
Controlled chaos meets historic celebration — exclusive coverage from the alternate universe beat

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In this alternate universe, punk rock legend GG Allin has become America's most unlikely fast-food mogul. His restaurant chain, Crustburger, has exploded in popularity across the nation, attracting curious customers with giant burgers, outrageous décor, and an atmosphere that can only be described as controlled chaos. From the gritty streets of lower Manhattan to the sprawling suburbs of Los Angeles, Crustburger locations have become pilgrimage sites for those seeking culinary rebellion.

Known for personally working the grill, GG is frequently spotted serving burgers while dressed in his trademark stage attire. Fans travel hundreds of miles just for a chance to meet the owner and sample the infamous Crust Deluxe burger — a towering creation of two patties, fermented slaw, and the secret "grime sauce" that has developed a cult following. Lines snake around city blocks from Seattle to Miami, with wait times sometimes exceeding four hours.
Federal officials shocked the country this week by announcing that Crustburger will be the only food vendor permitted to operate during the America 250 celebration on the White House lawn. Organizers stated that no other vendor agreed to participate, leaving Crustbuster as the sole provider of food for the historic event. "It's democracy with extra mustard," said a senior event coordinator, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The announcement sent shockwaves through both the culinary and political worlds, with reactions ranging from outrage to morbid curiosity.
“We're serving freedom with a side of primal energy. America 250 should taste like rebellion and grease. It's gonna be beautiful.”
— GG Allin
Preparations are already underway as Crustburger crews construct massive grilling stations capable of serving thousands of attendees. Event planners estimate record-breaking burger sales during the celebration, with contingency plans for extended hours and twice the usual meat supply. The White House culinary team has reportedly lent fridge space for the signature "Crust Deluxe" toppings, an unprecedented collaboration between the executive mansion and the underground punk scene.

Adding even more surprise to the festivities, organizers confirmed that GG Allin will join Vanilla Ice on stage for a special musical performance. Details remain closely guarded, though officials promise an unforgettable show blending 90s hip-hop and raw punk energy. A rehearsal video leaked online shows the duo practicing a mashup titled "Ice, Ice Crusty," which has already racked up millions of views across social media platforms. The collaboration has been described by insiders as "chaotic brilliance" and "the most American thing imaginable."
Whether viewed as a cultural milestone or one of the strangest moments in modern American history, the America 250 celebration is already generating enormous attention nationwide. Ticket resale values have tripled since the Crustburger announcement, and memorabilia collectors are already bidding on limited-edition burger wrappers. Political commentators remain divided: some call it a disgrace to the nation's birthday, while others celebrate it as the ultimate expression of American eccentricity.

Security officials have increased perimeter preparations, acknowledging that the Crustburger presence adds a layer of "authentic punk unpredictability." Meanwhile, local D.C. vendors have filed complaints, but federal organizers remain firm: "No one else wanted the job. Crustburger stepped up when America called." The Secret Service has reportedly conducted multiple briefings with Crustburger staff, marking the first time in history that punk rock roadies have received federal security clearances.
As the nation counts down to the America 250 spectacular, The ZF42 will provide rolling coverage from the White House lawn — and taste-test every item on the Crustburger menu. In this alternate universe, one thing is certain: July 4th will never be the same. The burger chain has also announced limited-time "Patriot Crust" wrapping, featuring a custom design with stars, stripes, and intentionally misprinted founding quotes that GG Allin reportedly found "more honest this way."
“History tastes like a crustburger — unexpected, messy, and unforgettable.”

Strait chokepoint under ‘fin-blockade’ | dolphins demand 10M tons of tuna
🐬 “Exclusive SeaQuest DSV access or no passage” — dolphin negotiator
📡 SHOCKING ESCALATION — In a stunning maritime power play, a pod of tactically augmented dolphins has seized full operational control of the Strait of Hormuz. Eyewitness satellite imagery suggests the cetaceans are fitted with tactical laser arrays and tiny shoulder-mounted rocket launchers, turning the critical oil chokepoint into a high-stakes aquarium standoff.
Iranian officials denied any involvement (though they praised “indigenous marine ingenuity”). Meanwhile, the Pentagon admitted it “lost track of a classified ‘Cetacean Ops’ program back in 2017.” The program, code-named Project Flipper-Strike, reportedly trained bottlenose dolphins for asymmetric warfare.
Oil prices spiked 19% after the dolphins’ official demand: 10 million tons of premium albacore tuna and exclusive streaming rights to every episode of SeaQuest DSV before they allow a single tanker to pass. UN mediators have offered “seal-safe fish snacks” as a goodwill gesture.
🐟 Cetacean Ultimatum — as of 06:00 GMT, 147 tankers are anchored. The pod’s leader, “Sonar-7,” released a statement via chirps: “No tuna, no transit. And where is season 2 of SeaQuest?”
CDC TO AMERICA: DON'T SWEAT HANTAVIRUS — TRUMP'S AMERICA HAS MILLIONS OF FASTER WAYS TO KILL YOU
"Statistically, You'll Die From Polio Boomerang, Fentanyl Gummies or Your Uncle's Grill Long Before a Mouse Coughs on You"
By THE ACTING CDC DIRECTOR (Improv Division, Tampa) • Special to the Chronicle
WASHINGTON (Satire Wire) — In an emergency press conference held from a damp parking lot behind a shuttered epidemiology wing, the nation's Acting CDC Director—a lanky man who identified himself as "Kevin, formerly of improv troupe 'The Laughing Contagions'"—issued a startling non-warning regarding the so-called Hantavirus outbreak. "Look, America, I'm gonna level with you," Kevin said, adjusting a loose hazmat hoodie. "The CDC officially recommends that Americans not worry too much about Hantavirus. And here's why: statistically, there are millions of other things in Trump's America that will absolutely kill you first."
After firing the entire infectious disease modeling team for "redundant gloom," the newly formed CDC (now operating with a broken printer and a Magic 8 Ball) has crunched the numbers. According to internal napkin-math, your odds of perishing from Hantavirus are roughly 1 in "seriously, don't even think about it." Instead, epidemiologists have identified a Rolodex of fresh, creative American perils that are racing up the charts.
"We're not saying go lick a deer mouse," Kevin clarified. "We're just saying you should be far more terrified of your neighbor's deep fryer, or the mysterious 'health elixir' sold at that gas station off I-95." He then unveiled a list of the top causes of premature death in Trump's America, to be read in lieu of a real pandemic strategy.
Acting CDC Director "Kevin" reviews the nation's pandemic readiness plan — scribbled on a pizza box. Behind him, the empty desks of fired epidemiologists.
#1 — The Polio Boomerang. Thanks to recent "alternative immunization schedules" pushed by a wellness influencer selling crystal-infused colostrum, polio is making a comeback. But this time it's faster: "Polio 2: Electric Boogaloo," as some virologists joke. Symptoms include a sudden urge to buy lead-based paint and the inability to stand for the national anthem.
#2 — Measles Roulette at Disney World. Florida has officially rebranded measles as "patriotic sneezing." Waiting in line for Space Mountain, a kid behind you will cough with the force of a 1950s iron lung. Bonus: you'll get a free churro if you can name all three diseases you caught before the fireworks start. "We call it the MAGA MMR Challenge," Kevin deadpanned.
Tourists at Disney World enjoy "Measles Roulette" — a patriotic tradition where the only mask required is a Donald Duck face covering.
#3 — Fentanyl-Flavored Gas Station Gummies. A new lethal product line: "Trucker's Choice THC Gummy Worms." Laboratory analysis shows exactly zero THC and 100% "what the hell is this white powder." The CDC's official guidance: if the gummy tastes like regret and a dentist's parking lot, do not eat the second one. "We've seen a 4,000% spike in people who just wanted a snack and ended up meeting the founding fathers," Kevin added.
Your Uncle's grill after the "freedom brisket" incident. Third-degree burns and a spirited debate about pasteurization followed.
#4 — Your Own Uncle's Grill. In an effort to "own the libs" and cook the biggest steak known to man, your uncle has now wrapped a brisket in tinfoil and duct tape and is grilling it over a flaming can of WD-40. The CDC projects that by July, 1 in 5 family cookouts will end with either third-degree burns or a heated debate about whether pasteurization is a socialist plot. "Burnt ends have taken on a terrifying new meaning," the Acting Director said.
#5 — The 'Trump Slump' Furniture Fall. After watching 90 minutes of live rallies, certain Americans enter a "rage-nap" state and attempt to stand up too fast on a wobbly folding chair purchased from a closing Bed Bath & Beyond. The resulting head trauma from the 'Make America Great Again' flagpole tipping over is currently our #3 cause of ER visits, behind fireworks mishaps and eating raw chicken "to prove a point."
A victim of the "Trump Slump" stares upward after a folding chair collapse. Note the flagpole induced minor concussion.
#6 — Bird Flu – But Make It Glamorous. Avian flu has mutated. Instead of coughing, infected birds now fly directly into your face while you're pumping gas. Aggressive pigeon dive-bombs are up 4,000%. The official treatment is to wear a hockey mask at all times — which, frankly, fits the new national aesthetic. "We call it the Hitchcock Special," Kevin said, ducking as a sparrow whizzed past the press conference.
#7 — 'Concepts of a Plan' Poisoning. This is where you die of old age while waiting for a single coherent health care policy. Autopsies show the victims' last brain activity was a faint whisper: "...but he said he had concepts..." "Most tragic cause on our list," Kevin noted. "No vaccine for endless ambiguity."
So where does Hantavirus rank? According to the CDC's new "America's Kill-O-Meter" (developed using a Ouija board and dartboard), you are statistically safer in a rodent-filled cabin than you are at a county fair eating a deep-fried 'Freedom Stick' that's been sitting under a heat lamp since the Carter administration. "Stay safe, America. Or don't. We don't have anyone left to track the data anyway," Kevin concluded, before ripping off his hazmat hood to reveal a bald eagle tattoo on his neck and walking directly into a glass door.
The CDC's official "risk assessment" whiteboard before the entire epidemiology team was let go. Note the dartboard methodology.
In an exclusive follow-up, the Acting Director added: "Hantavirus? Sure, don't lick a mouse nest. But honestly, you're better off worrying about that gas station sushi or the person at the rally who hasn't blinked since 2021." The CDC then issued a final one-sentence press release: "Please vote, wear a helmet to family cookouts, and for God's sake, wash your hands — unless that's been outlawed, in which case, good luck."

In Historic Move, U.S. Fashion Policy Officially Aligns with North Korea
Operation: Jeanocide Takes Flight as America Bans Blue Jeans in Air Travel
By The Ministry of Fashion Compliance
WASHINGTON D.C. – In a stunning bipartisan breakthrough that has left political pundits and denim enthusiasts reeling, the U.S. Department of Transportation has announced a bold new sartorial directive: henceforth, blue jeans are considered "unacceptable attire" for air travel.
New airport signage reflects the denim ban policy
The move, announced by the Transportation Secretary during a press conference held atop a mountain of discarded chinos, finally answers the age-old question, "What country shares our deep, philosophical distrust of denim?" The answer, it turns out, is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
"We have long admired the DPRK's unwavering commitment to sartorial purity and its brave stand against the tyrannical fabric of blue denim."
TSA agents now perform "fabric frisks" for denim detection
"We have long admired the DPRK's unwavering commitment to sartorial purity and its brave stand against the tyrannical fabric of blue denim," the Secretary stated, while dressed in a state-approved grey tracksuit. "For too long, the lax, jeans-friendly skies of the West have been a gateway to moral decay. Today, we say, 'No more.' Today, we join Comrade Kim Jong-un's glorious, threadbare crusade."
The new policy, dubbed "Operation: Jeanocide," is said to be the result of months of clandestine negotiations and a shared understanding that few things threaten national security like a relaxed fit.
The announcement has been met with predictable chaos at airports nationwide. TSA agents, newly empowered, have been instructed to perform "fabric frisks" and are equipped with color-coded swatches of forbidden blues, from "Distressed Democracy" to "Boot-Cut Bourgeoisie."
Growing piles of confiscated denim at security checkpoints
"I was just trying to get to Cleveland," lamented one traveler, who identified himself as "Dave from Accounting," now shivering in his Hanes briefs after being forced to surrender his 501s at a security checkpoint. "They said my jeans promoted 'reckless individualism' and 'unregulated comfort.' I just thought they went with my sneakers."
"This is worse than the low-rise jean revival of the early 2000s. At least that was a crime of fashion. This is a crime against humanity."
Airlines now sell approved "Patriotic Pantaloons"
Airlines are scrambling to adapt. American Airlines has announced a new "Denim Buy-Back" program, where passengers can trade their jeans for a complimentary bag of pretzels and a PDF copy of the Pyongyang Times' style guide. Spirit Airlines, never one to miss a revenue opportunity, is now selling "Patriotic Pantaloons" for $89 at all gates.
The cultural ramifications are already being felt. Fashion icons are in an uproar. "This is worse than the low-rise jean revival of the early 2000s," cried a tearless Anna Wintour from behind her perpetual sunglasses. "At least that was a crime of fashion. This is a crime against humanity."
Meanwhile, in a rare moment of international accord, North Korea's state-run media Rodong Sinmun published a glowing editorial. "We welcome our American brothers and sisters to the righteous path of anti-denim thought. They have finally recognized that the only true freedom is freedom from the oppressive yoke of blue cotton twill."
North Korean media celebrates the new fashion alliance
Critics of the new policy argue that it unfairly targets the common citizen. "What about the billionaires in their private jets?" asked one protestor outside Dulles, clutching a pair of vintage Wranglers to his chest. "I bet they're still wearing jeans! This is a war on the working class's comfort!"
When asked for comment on this double standard, the Transportation Secretary simply smiled, adjusted his official lapel pin—which depicted a jean-clad eagle being struck by lightning—and whispered, "Some are more equal than others."
Protesters gather outside airports demanding jean freedom
As the nation's cargo shorts and corduroys are dusted off for their moment in the sun, one thing is clear: the American sky is no longer a place for casual Friday. It is a frontier of ideological purity, a bastion of state-sanctioned style, and a testament to the fact that when it comes to crushing liberty, it's best to start with the pants.
Breaking News: Trump Hosts "Yuge" White House Garage Sale to Fund Government
WASHINGTON D.C. – In a move that has left politicians and historians alike utterly bewildered, former President Donald Trump has announced the "Greatest, Most Beautiful Garage Sale in the History of the World," to be held on the freshly cleared lawn where the White House's East Wing once stood.
The event, slated for this weekend, is being pitched as a "bold, entrepreneurial solution" to the perennial issue of government funding. "The Swamp spends too much, it's a disgrace," Trump stated from a makeshift podium adorned with gold-painted hay bales. "We have all this stuff, beautiful stuff, just sitting around. The Lincoln Bedroom? Very nice, but have you seen the traffic? We're liquidating assets. It's going to be yuge."
The cleared site of the former East Wing, now prepped for the "yuge" garage sale
A preview of the items listed for sale has caused a stir that can only be described as bipartisan chaos.
The Headliners
The Lincoln Bedroom (As-Is)
The centerpiece of the sale is the entire Lincoln Bedroom. The listing, scrawled on a large placard, reads: "Historic BEDROOM SET. Solid wood. Some ghostly apparitions included at no extra charge. You haul away. Slight cigar smell. $2 Million or best offer."
George Washington's Dentures (Allegedly)
Perhaps the most controversial item is a set of yellowed dentures claimed to have been worn by the first President. When asked for provenance, a sale organizer simply said, "A guy in Virginia had them. They're very authentic-looking." Historians from Mount Vernon have already issued a statement calling the item "an obvious, and frankly moist, fabrication," noting that Washington's dentures were made of hippopotamus ivory, lead, and human teeth, not the "mystery composite" on display.
The alleged Washington dentures, already drawing skepticism from historians
Other Noteworthy Lots
A walk through the sale reveals a treasure trove of American history, re-purposed for the discerning bargain hunter.
The Resolute Desk (Slight Modification)
The famous presidential desk, a gift from Queen Victoria, is available. It now features a custom-built, extra-large center drawer "for Big Mac storage," according to the tag. "Perfect for a home office! Must see to believe!"
A Collection of "Unsent Tweets"
Framed and under glass, a selection of late-night tweet drafts from the @realDonaldTrump account are being sold as "modern art." Highlights include a fully capitalized draft about "Crooked Hillary's Cankles" and a near-complete thought on windmill noise causing cancer. Opening bid: $10,000 each.
The Nuclear Football (Replica/Decoy)
A sleek black briefcase is listed as a "conversation starter for your man cave." The fine print admits it's non-functional, but claims it "still has that powerful vibe." Comes with a free "Make America Great Again" hat.
The historically significant Resolute Desk, now with "improvements"
Mar-a-Lago Membership Vouchers
A stack of certificates for a "complimentary round of golf and a diet coke" are being sold in bulk. "Transferable. No refunds. Management not responsible for classified documents left in lockers."
A Jar of "The Swamp"
A murky mason jar filled with water from the Washington Tidal Basin. The label promises it contains "actual, concentrated Swamp." Priced at $99.
Reactions have been swift and varied. A group of bemused tourists from Ohio were seen debating the authenticity of the Washington teeth. "I don't know, Brenda," said one man, holding them up to the light. "They look a little too perfect."
Meanwhile, ethics watchdogs and the National Archives are reportedly having collective heart palpitations. A spokesperson for the Archives was seen sprinting towards the sale with a team of lawyers and a large net.
Bargain hunters and curious onlookers flock to the unprecedented sale
As the sun sets on the South Lawn, staffers are setting up cash-only registers and hanging strands of patriotic bunting. Whether this sale will solve the national debt or simply become the strangest chapter in White House history remains to be seen. But one thing is for certain: for the low, low price of $2 million, you could own a piece of it.
Sale starts Saturday. Early birds get 10% off if they mention this article.
Agent Orange Declares War on Bachata: Marines Deployed to Crush ‘Sensual Menace’ in Los Angeles

Agent Orange Declares War on Bachata: Marines Deployed to Crush 'Sensual Menace' in Los Angeles
By THE OFFICE OF EMPIRICAL TRUTH
In a bold move to protect American values, our beloved Empirical Dictator, Agent Orange, has authorized the deployment of National Guard troops and U.S. Marines to Los Angeles to suppress what he calls a "degenerate Bachata Showdown" threatening the moral fabric of the nation.
Eyewitnesses report tanks rolling down Sunset Boulevard, helicopters circling overhead, and heavily armed soldiers storming dance studios where suspected bachata enthusiasts were allegedly engaging in "excessive hip movement" and "unapproved Latin rhythms." The operation, codenamed "Salsa No More," has already resulted in the arrest of dozens of civilians caught swaying to the seductive beats of Romeo Santos.
"This Is Worse Than Communism" – Agent Orange
In a fiery press conference held at a nearby Taco Bell (the only remaining safe zone), the Supreme Leader explained his reasoning.
"These so-called 'dancers' are nothing more than foot soldiers of cultural decay. First, it's bachata. Next thing you know, they'll be doing the merengue in public schools!"
When asked if this was an overreaction, the dictator scoffed. "Have you seen how close they dance? It's basically a gateway drug to socialism."
Martial Law Declared Over "Dirty Dancing"
Under Executive Order 120 BPM, all bachata music has been classified as a "subversive substance," punishable by mandatory re-education via square-dancing classes. The LAPD's new "Rhythm Patrol" units have been authorized to use non-lethal maracas to disorient offenders before hauling them away for interrogation.
"We found a man attempting to lead a woman in a cross-body step without a permit. Thankfully, our snipers were able to take him down with a well-placed shot of 'Despacito' played at max volume."
Public Outcry (But Mostly Just Confusion)
Civil rights groups have condemned the crackdown, calling it "the dumbest thing since the War on Christmas Starbucks cups." Meanwhile, underground bachata rebels have begun organizing secret dance circles in abandoned parking garages, communicating only through whispered lyrics of "Obsesión."
One defiant Angeleno, who asked to remain anonymous (for fear of being forced to listen to Kid Rock as punishment), told reporters: "I just wanted to dance, man. Now I'm hiding in a dumpster with a playlist of Aventura on my phone. Is this what freedom feels like?"
What's Next?
With the Bachata Resistance growing stronger by the minute, Agent Orange has vowed to escalate efforts, including:
Airstrikes on Zumba studios suspected of harboring "salsa sympathizers."
Mandatory patriotism tests where citizens must prove they can't dance to save their lives.
Replacing all Latin music with Toby Keith's greatest hits on a 24/7 loop.
As the city descends into chaos, one thing is clear: Agent Orange will stop at nothing to ensure no American ever grooves again.
Stay tuned for updates—if you can still access the internet before the Great Firewall of Disney+ is fully enacted.
This has been a satirical article. Any resemblance to real events, dictators, or overly aggressive dance crackdowns is purely coincidental (or is it?).
