Dear Windows Users,

Do you remember the excitement of the mid-90s when Windows 95 was the pinnacle of technology? As much as we appreciate the advancements of Windows 10 and Windows 11, here’s a nostalgic argument for why rolling back to Windows 95 might just be the refreshing change we need.

Windows 95 is a higher number after all than 11 , therefore a far superior OS.

Remember Doom? Minesweepr? Calculator? I means hours of fun right there .

Simplicity at its Best: In a world that’s becoming increasingly complex, Windows 95 brings us back to basics. The straightforward interface, without the clutter of modern apps and notifications, allows us to focus on our tasks without constant distractions.

02

Lightning Speed: Running Windows 95 on today’s hardware would be incredibly fast. The lightweight OS would boot up in seconds and apps would launch almost instantaneously, providing a snappy and responsive experience.

Classic Gaming: Many of us fondly remember playing classics like Doom, SimCity, and The Oregon Trail on Windows 95. Rolling back would allow us to easily run these nostalgic games without the need for emulators or compatibility modes.

Nostalgic Design: The iconic Start button, with its colorful logo and “Start Me Up” jingle, is a piece of computing history. The retro design of Windows 95 evokes a sense of nostalgia that many of us cherish.

Security Through Obscurity: While security is always a concern, using an older operating system can sometimes provide a form of security through obscurity. Cybercriminals are less likely to target an OS that is no longer widely used.

Minimal System Requirements: Windows 95’s low system requirements mean it can run smoothly on older hardware. This can be a cost-effective solution for repurposing old PCs and reducing electronic waste.
